Introduction To Changing Application Settings

An introduction to changing system settings for the Application or an Individual FBO Location; or a combination of both. Here's how...

Warning: Changing application settings can change the appearance and/or behaviour of the FBO One application. It is highly recommended to make changes in your test environment (https://[yourfboname].test.fbo.one/) and observe the outcome is as expected before making a change to the live system.

Introduction:

There are two places where application settings can be updated or added.

The 'Application Settings' page
The 'FBO Locations' Page

Edit Application Settings:

Navigate to the 'Application Settings' page as shown above. Tip: You can just start typing in the menu search to help find it.
In this example, we want to change the Invoice remarks when there is no VAT.
A quick search in the Help Centre reveals the setting we need to set is the "NoVATRemarks" setting.
Selecting the article will give a description, possible setting values, and confirm if it can be set per FBO in FBO Locations.
Type all or part of the application setting name in the search box.
Select 'edit' next to the setting you wish to change.
Type in the value you wish to set
Select saveo apply the setting.
Run some scenarios to make sure you are happy with the result and the change is applied correctly.

About FBO Location settings

These would be settings specific to an FBO location within the same company. e.g Contact details, Email addresses and templates, VAT, and settings related to ways of working.
FBO Location settings will override that parameter value in the Application settings.
Not all Application Settings can be set specific to an FBO Location. Refer to the setting article in the 'Application Settings Glossary' section to understand more.

Edit FBO Location settings

Continuing with our example, we want to display a message in French for the Invoice remarks at our PARIS LE BOURGET operation.
Navigate to the 'FBO Locations' page using the menu or menu search.
If there is a long list of locations, type in the name in part or full for the FBO Location in the search box and 'search'.
Once found 'select' the FBO line to show the FBO Location settings.
Search for the "NoVATRemarks" setting.
Its not been set at this location, so we select 'add new'
Choose the setting from the drop down list by selecting it and start typing the setting name to narrow the position in the long list.
Type in the value you want to apply and select 'save'.
The setting will now appear in the list and override the application settings value.
Test your changes.
