Peak lists can be used to define pricing according to a specific period of time. Use case examples may include:
- Night time surcharges for approach/landing/handling fees..
- Public holidays and/or weekend surcharges.
- Peak congestion for events such as Govermental summits, sporting events etc.
The application of a peak list is made up of various componants comprised of:
- Peak categories - effectively just a label used to identify the purpose e.g Airport opening hours.
- Peak category values e.g Airport open, Airport out of hours.
- Peak lists - references the peak categories and values to a specific period of time.
- Price agreements - used to link the peak list to the products price calculations.

Creating a new peak category and peak category values.
For the purpose of this exercise we will create a new 'Handling Surcharge' peak category and 3 peak categories to cover 'Day', 'Night' and Weekend'.
Create a new peak category:

Use the menu search box to navigate to the 'Peak Categories' administration page.

Select the 'Add new' button.

Type in the name of the new category.

Select 'Save'
Create a new peak category values:

Once the peak category is created and selected the option to create a new 'peak category values' will be available.

Select the 'Add new' button.

Type in the name of the new peak category value

Select 'Add new' to save your current value and to create a new value.
- Once all values are created select 'Save'

- Use the menu search box to naviagate to the ‘Peak Lists' administration page.

Select the 'Add new' button.

Define the peak category value.

Define either the station or applicable station group.

Define the 'valid from date' (start date)

Remark field is optional.

Select 'Save'
Define the peak list items

Once the peak list definition is created and selected the option to create a new 'List item' will be available.

Select the 'Add new' button.

Define the start day, time, and relevant category value.

Select 'Add new' to save your current value and to create an additional value.
In the example image below the 'Night' period is applied 19:00 to 06:00 LT all 7 days of the week.
In the example below 'Night' period is applied between 19:00 to 06:00 LT Monday to Friday and Saturday to Sunday is a 'Weekend' period.
Good to know

The days of the week are defined using the numbers 0-6 with Sunday as day 0 and Saturday as day 6.

Peak list timings are inserted and displayed in the handling station local time (LT).

The times must be added in the 24hr format HH:mm (e.g. 19:55).

The list items typically always start with a Sunday at 00:00 entry.
- Expired peak lists are hidden from view, ticking the 'Show expired peak lists' will display all historical peak lists.
- The 'copy' peak list function can offer some great time savings.

Define your price agreement(s)
The peak list can now be used in product price agreement configuration. The 'Peak category value' field is used in conjunction with the 'Movement type' field. In this example if Either arrival or Departure is 'Night' apply the price.
- 25% surcharge is applied if either the arrival or departure is 'Night'.
- 50% surcharge is applied if either the arrival or departure is 'Weekend'.
- 0% surcharge is applied in all other scenarios.
