How are currency conversion applied:
FBO One follows the following rules for currency conversions:
-
The timezone applied is the local time (LT) of the FBO.
-
The exchange rate applied for the open orders 'Amount Due' is based on the current date/time.
- The exchange rate applied for cash payments, such as cash and credit card, are based on the date/time (LT) that the payment was logged.
- The exchange rate applied for Payments by fuel cards (carnets), which are considered 'still to be received', are based on the current date/time.
-
The exchange rate applied to invoiced orders is based on the invoice date.
-
In the event that the reverse conversion rate is required FBO One applies the inverse exchange rate
eg: EUR to USD is defined: 1.336; FBO One computes USD to EUR as: 1/1.336.

- Always keep the same currency pairing direction e.g EUR to USD or USD to EUR but not both
- The applied exchange rate can be displayed on Receipt/Invoice:
- When configured the report variable ~ExchangeRateTextValueFromChargedToBookingCurrency~ will display the exchange rate between the Order Currency (USD) and the Default Booking Currency (EUR). Maximum of 6 decimals eg: USD to EUR: 0.78125
- Expired exchange rates can be viewed by selecting 'Show expired exchange rates'
