Occasionally a credit card transaction through the online gateway will be blocked by an error message. The below error message is generated directly from the processor.
Error Text: Online payment failed / Approved
Card Type: Bank Cards
Details: In this case the payment has been declined for an unspecified reason, but the payment processor is also returning a conflicting 'Approved' message. Treat this response as a decline. The payment attempt will show as aborted on the order.
Resolution: Immediately inform the customer of the decline so they can contact their card company to resolve or provide another form of payment.
