How to Create a New Airport Opening List
- Use the 'Menu' to locate and navigate to the 'Airport Opening Lists' administration page.
- Select 'Add new' to insert a a new list
Note: In the event the airport opening hours are not used for the purpose of parking calculation (Airport Opening Time Parking Calculator), the 'Free parking minutes' can be set to zero (0). - In the 'List Items' section define the Use the 'Add new' button beneath the section 'List Items - Define opening/closing times during the week' to begin setting up the times
For the purpose of this list, the days of the week run from Sunday to Saturday and are represented by the numbers 0-6. Sunday=0 / Monday=1 / Tuesday=2 / Wednesday=3 / Thursday=4 / Friday=5 / Saturday=6
- Begin the list always by the first opening time of the week e.g. Sunday at 08:00 and continue from there. For this example, as of 01-Jul-16, the station EGKK is open from 0700-2200 Local Time, Mon-Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, this station is open from 0800-2100.
- The first entry of Sunday at 08:00, is created as shown below.
- The checkbox 'Is Open' is checked as the airport opens at this time on Sunday:
- Use the add new button to continue populating the list. The next entry will be for Sunday at 2100LT when the airport closes
- This time, the checkbox 'Is Open' should be un-checked:
The airport then remains open until Sunday at 2100LT:
- The list should be continued in this way for each day until the airport closure on Saturday at 2100LT.
Once the list is complete, it should look like this:
How to Create an Airport Opening List for ADHOC closures
There may be occasions when the airport will close for significant public holidays and events, or for operational requirements such as runway maintenance closures. If these closure periods are entered in advance, FBO One will raise an error if the ARR or DEP time occurs within the closed period.
Normally an Airport that has a daily open/close schedule would have a standard 'Opening List' as described above. We need to interrupt that weekly schedule to account for the ADHOC closing event. To do this we create a new list(s) for the affected period.
Scenario 1:
The airport has a standard open and close list and will close for a public holiday on a Friday.
Configuration:
- Copy the standard weekly schedule opening list.
- Edit the effective date for the start (Sunday) of the week that the public holiday will occur.
- Edit the list items as follows
- Check the list line for Friday 'Is Open' - "yes" and delete it.
- Select Edit for the list line for Friday 'Is Open' - "no" and change the time to "00:00"
Scenario 2:
The airport is normally open 24/7, but will be closed for a public holiday on a Friday.
Configuration
- Create a new list for the affected FBO location as described above.
- Make the valid from date the date of the closure. In our example it is the 7th April 23'.
- Create two line items
- Day 5 (Fri) is closed from 00:00
- Day 6 (Sat) is open from 00:00
- Save
- Note: If we leave it at this point, the weekly cycle would repeat.
- To prevent this, create a new list for the FBO location starting the following week and set the day 0 (Sun) to open at 00:00.
Scenario 3
The Airport is normally open 24/7, but closes for runway maintenance over the weekend from Saturday 25th March at 2200 until Monday 27th March at 0600.
Configuration:
- Create a new list effective from the 25th March
- Create an entry for 00:00 on 25th (Day 6, SAT) to set the Airport as Open.
- Create an entry to close the airport on the 25th (Day 6, SAT)) at 22:00.
- The same logic applies for the reopening event on the 27th.
- Create a new list to reopen the airport. If we didnt transition across the weekly cycle period, we could manage the close and open in one list. The effective date can be Sunday 26th as this is when the new week starts.
- On day '0' (Sun),we can say it was already closed, so we create an entry at 00:00 Sunday opening the list cycle in a closed state.
- Create an entry to open it again at 0600 on day '1' (Mon).
- To prevent the list we created in step 5 becoming the default and repeating each week, we copy and edit the 'standard' list to start the following Sunday.

Can I change the error message? The original message shows the airport is closed. In fact, in a location CIQ is not available at certain time. At another location, slots have been blocked for that period.
