Price Reference Date
The price agreement reference date can also be referred to as the:
- Transaction date
- Price calculation date
This is the date used as the transaction date of the order in price calculations. It can be used to filter for reporting as well. This date can influence pricing, as price agreements and exchange rates can change from day to day.
- The price reference date is usually the departure or arrival date, whichever is last. (usually departure, except for arrival only or home operator orders).
- For OTC orders without flight legs, the price reference date is the start or end date, whichever is last. (usually the end date)
- If either of these is not available, the order created date is used.
- For services with a delivery date, the delivery date is used as the price reference date.
Override the default Settings
It is possible to override the price reference date per product.
- For fuel and third party services, it may be suitable to use the delivery date for price look-ups. If you need this, select the option 'Use delivery date or service date as price reference date' in the Edit product page.
- For landing fees, it may be suitable to use the arrival date, as opposed to the order's departure date that would normally apply. In that case, also select 'Use delivery date or service date as price reference date' in the Edit product page, also set the arrival departure indictator to arrival. See screen shot.
