Introduction:
Upon departure of an employee (FBO One user) it's an imperative that their FBO One user account is disabled as soon as the employee no longer requires access to the system.
This is not only a question of good housekeeping but also protect your company from any malicous intent.
Note: Access to this functionality is restricted using authorisation 'User entity'. In the event that you do not have access to this functionality please contact you local system administrator.
How to disable a user account?
It's important to note that we are not looking to delete a user account but disable the account by setting the account to 'inactive'. This is in order to retain the audit log of the user which can be very valuable.
-
Navigate to the "Users" menu.
- Locate the relevant user account and select 'Edit'.
-
Un-check the "Is Active" setting.
-
Select "Save" to confirm the changes.
Other points of consideration for departing employee's
- In the event the user has access to a group account be sure to change the group account password
- Review the IP Whitelist and disable any employee specific IP e.g their home
- Review the device authorisations and 'Revoke' any user specific devices.
